WHAT IS A FACE FIT PLANTATION SHUTTER?

An face fit shutter is when the shutter is affixed to the outside face of your window architrave. An outside mount uses an L-frame, and can be fitted to almost any type of architrave or directly onto the wall.

WHAT IS A RECESS FIT PLANTATION SHUTTER?

A recess fit shutter is when the shutter fits just inside your window recess. An inside mount can use an L-Frame or Z-frame, and will work with most types of architraves.

Crank Drop Awnings are a great to use in a back patio or pergola area. The woven mesh fabrics allow for the blind to breathe so it is a great way to keep the heat at bay whilst enjoying the outdoors. The woven mesh fabric also provide a high level of privacy and sun protection. For a solid or striped look the acrylic and canvas range is available too.

The crank gearbox operation (similar to Santiago FAA) allows the operator to take full control of the blind by use of the crank handle. The Crank Drop Blind rolls down from the top roller tube and is fastened at the bottom with straps or dog clips. The straps or dog clips are used to keep the blind locked down and reduces any movement due to any wind force.

The Crank Drop Blind can have more than one lock down point as some customers like to have their blinds locked down halfway, creating airflow whilst still maintaining privacy.

The wire guide system allows the skin to be lowered with the support of the corrosion resistant wire and components. The wire guide system has a wire at each end, running from the wall bracket to the L bracket at the bottom. This allows the skin to be raised or lowered at any height. Wire guides can be secured down by use of the special breeching staple, which slides into the underside of the bottom rail and with straps can be secured down onto the deck plate.

    Crank drop Awnings are used mainly in patio or pergola areas. Crank Drop Awnings are usually installed inside patio areas instead of outside like Rio Autos. Considerations must be given when deciding how to measure as it can be measured as a face fix (post to post) or between the posts. When considering the wire guide system, you must look for fixing points for the L Brackets at the bottom, such as posts, walls or if possible fixing into the floor. Deck Plates are ideal for fixing into floors such as concrete slab, timber decking etc… Do not fix into tiled floors or concrete balconies that may be waterproofed, as this could allow water or moisture to penetrate the floor and cause damage.

    Width: Outside edge of post to outside edge of post neat.(The skin will be approximately 40mm less than each side)

    Drop: Top of fixing point to bottom of finish point. The example to the right can either finish at the handrail or the awning could go to the floor.

    We try to make sure you get your order as fast as possible. However, because our products are all custom made, there is a manufacturing time associated with every order. After the manufacturer completes it, the shipping time will vary, based on where the manufacturer is located. If they are located out of the country, your shipment could take a few weeks before it reaches your front door.

    When you're ordering, be sure to look at the manufacturing and shipping time in your shopping cart. You can also choose the express option to speed your order through the manufacturing process, but you won't be able to make any changes to your order once it's submitted.
